Current Research Activity:
1) Observational data for model experiments:
Time series of atmospher, sea ice and ocean CTD data from SHEBA, SEDNA and NPEO10 projects. Click the project name to heck the variable names, unit, duration, temporal and spatial intervals.
2) Set up 1-D and 3-D coupled ice-ocean models from NCAR and GFDL climate models
Communications are welcome
1) Working progress, time line and questions
2) Suggestions on what format the observational data should be for model input.
3) Detailed model experiment plans
Meetings
2010 AGU fall meeting session C52B: The Sea-ice Ocean System II
Job opportunity:
Postdoc position is open for application.
Visiting scientist or student will be recruited to help with observational data synthesis, validating the models with observations, and web communications, contact Dr. Jin (mjin@alaska.edu).Updated 2011
